12/04/2016 - Battles P.2/3 done, working on equips

Hi there,

Short progress-update after having been gone for 3 days. The second part of the battle update is done. The third part will be put on hold and worked on after I finish the prologue. It will probably contain the following:

  • Random companion interaction during combat (corruption, random comments, etc.)
  • Request function to request attacks the enemy has executed during combat (think MGQ)
  • Level-up and status increase options

Part 2 of the update contains the following:

  • Gain experience and gold after battle
  • Support from your companion to teach you about combat (only first encounter in the sewers)
  • Easier first fight, following fights are harder
  • Enemies can now execute functions. I can use this to give enemy attacks special features (Think (de-)buffs, heals)
  • Slime Girl can now heal herself
I'm still thinking of a better way to randomize the skills a monster uses in battle, because with a low amount of different attack there's a chance it heals itself non-stop. Sounds like something that nobody would like.

The equip system will add the following:
  • Allow the player to equip items to different slots, GUI changes to inventory, and all that comes with 
  • Equippable starter items
  • Equippable items can give you stats
After that, I want to work on the new shop system. Once all of that is done, I'll release a new version.

The version after that will contain the last part of the prologue, which I'm looking forward to! I realise waiting such a long time for content that isn't very useful at this point of the game is kind of annoying, but it shouldn't take much longer.

  1. Done with everything except the shops. Might go to the LoL LCS Finals in the Netherlands tomorrow, so I'm expecting to release on monday!
